Social Media & Community Growth Manager
Own UMVA's social media presence and grow engaged communities. Create buzz, drive conversations, and build brand loyalty.
About the Role
We are looking for a Social Media & Community Growth Manager to build, manage, and grow UMVA's online communities. You will be the voice of UMVA across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms.
Your mission: drive engagement, foster meaningful conversations, increase brand awareness, and support customer acquisition through social channels. You'll create content, engage with followers, coordinate with influencers, and track growth metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals
- Create and schedule daily content (posts, stories, reels, short-form video, carousels)
- Engage authentically with the community — respond to comments, DMs, mentions
- Grow followers and engagement rates across all platforms organically
- Plan and execute growth campaigns (giveaways, collaborations, hashtag strategies)
- Identify and partner with influencers, affiliates, and brand ambassadors
- Monitor social listening for brand mentions, trends, and competitive intel
- Report on KPIs: reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, referral traffic
Requirements
- 2+ years managing social media for a brand, startup, or agency
- Proven track record of growing social audiences from scratch
- Strong understanding of each platform's algorithm, best practices, and content formats
- Excellent copywriting skills — witty, authentic, and on-brand
- Basic graphic design (Canva, Figma) and/or video editing skills
- Experience with social media management tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, etc.)
- Creative, proactive, and comfortable taking risks to stand out
- Portfolio of past social media work and growth metrics required
