About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to build and maintain user interfaces across our platform. You will translate design mockups into clean, responsive, and performant code using Vue.js, Alpine.js, Bootstrap, and custom CSS.

You'll work closely with our design and backend teams to create intuitive, accessible experiences for users across all UMVA services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build responsive, accessible UI components using Vue.js, Alpine.js, and Bootstrap
  • Implement design mockups and wireframes with pixel-perfect accuracy
  • Optimize frontend performance (LCP, FID, CLS, bundle size, lazy loading)
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
  • Collaborate with backend developers on API integration
  • Maintain and evolve our internal design system and component library
  • Write clean, maintainable HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend best practices
Requirements
  • 2+ years of frontend development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Vue.js (Composition API preferred) or Alpine.js
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Bootstrap, and responsive design
  • Experience with JavaScript (ES6+, async/await, modules)
  • Familiarity with build tools (Vite, Webpack, npm/yarn)
  • Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
  • Understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and performance best practices
  • Portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating frontend work
