Halton Regional Police have charged a 30‑year‑old man in connection with a theft from an Oakville aerospace company.
The investigation began in early June after specialized millwright and aerospace equipment disappeared and the stolen items appeared for sale on social media platforms.
A search warrant executed on June 30 at a Brantford residence resulted in the suspect’s arrest; authorities recovered approximately $250,000 in millwright and aerospace equipment, more than $150,000 in cash, and several high‑value designer watches and sunglasses believed to be proceeds of the crime.
The accused, identified as Abhishek Kumar Patel, faces charges of theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and trafficking of property obtained by crime.
Investigators continue to work with the affected business to locate additional stolen property and determine whether further charges are warranted, and they are requesting tips from the public.
