A fire and explosion occurred overnight Wednesday at a midtown restaurant, and authorities are investigating the incident as a suspected arson. The incident took place in the Eglinton Ave. W. and Bathurst St. area, where emergency crews were called around 2:45 a.m. to respond to the fire and explosion. Reports indicated that there was a significant amount of smoke coming from the business.

The blaze caused damage not only to the restaurant but also to two neighbouring businesses. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. The police have not released any information about potential suspects at this time. As the investigation continues, authorities are seeking assistance from the public in gathering more information about the incident.
