Thousands of ecstatic England fans flooded central London following the team's World Cup quarter-final win over Norway, with chaotic scenes unfolding in the streets.
Footage posted online showed dozens of police officers scuffling with cheering and jeering fans in Piccadilly Circus, with some officers pinning a man to a wall by a Pizza Hut on Regent Street.
He told the officers as cars drove by and beeped their horns: "Oh my God. I'm not even doing anything." Another video showed cars at a standstill, with football fans climbing onto utility boxes, waving England flags and banging the windows of buses.
A crowd of several hundred formed in the street as fans from the Kings Arms pub in Fulham joined elated supporters from other bars, leading to a loss of control among police.
Fireworks were also set off, according to footage from vlogger Paul Brown, who said: "It is kicking off. Police have got no control."
Of the seven people arrested, one was taken into custody for criminal damage, two for assaulting police officers, two for being drunk and disorderly, and two for other public order offences.
The Three Lions' 2-1 victory over Norway came after Jude Bellingham slid home the winning goal within two minutes of extra time in Miami.
The victory was met with celebration from prominent figures, including Prince William, who said on social media: "Well done England. Top performance in a tough environment. This is a special team. Commiserations to a proud Norway team. Onto the semi-final. Never in doubt."
Outgoing Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer also congratulated the team, saying Norway's team "took one hell of a beating", while tagging the country's leader, Jonas Gahr Støre.
The team will now fly from Miami to Atlanta, Georgia, for Wednesday's semi-final against Argentina, which smashed Switzerland 3-1 yesterday.
