US Central Command Reports Third Consecutive Night of Airstrikes

Video footage shows U.S. Central Command forces launching aircraft and cruise missiles at Iranian military targets after Iran attacked commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz during the week of July 6‑11, 2026.

The latest operation marks the third consecutive night of strikes, the fifth round since the initial attack on Tuesday.

The President declared the ceasefire over following the U.S. response and later confirmed that the ceasefire remains off while talks continue.

Following an Iranian strike on a commercial vessel on Saturday, the U.S. resumed attacks, adding a round on Sunday.

At 4:45 p.m. ET, U.S. Central Command reported that the strikes were launched under the direction of the Commander in Chief, intending to impose a heavy cost on Iranian forces and reduce their capacity to threaten civilians and shipping.

The United States has also reinstated a naval blockade of Iranian ports, asserting control over the Strait.

In a statement, the President said the U.S. is taking over the Strait and criticized Iranian negotiators, noting that Iran has gained nothing from past engagements.

The President also announced that the United States will impose a 20 percent toll on all cargo shipped through the region to cover the costs of ensuring safety and security.
