U.S. Central Command released unclassified footage of a new series of strikes against Iranian targets on Monday evening.
The operation included attacks on two tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, marking the third consecutive night of strikes after a ceasefire was lifted.
At 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time, U.S. forces launched the night’s strikes under the direction of the Commander in Chief, aiming to increase the cost to Iranian forces and reduce their capacity to threaten commercial shipping.
By 10:15 p.m. Eastern Time, the mission had reached five hours, targeting military sites in Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas. Precision munitions were used against coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities.
More than 50,000 U.S. service members are deployed across the Middle East, and American forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready.
The U.S. will resume its naval blockade of Iranian ports on July 14 at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, enforcing restrictions on vessels transiting to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas while continuing to allow traffic that does not violate the blockade.
During the prior blockade from April 13 to June 18, U.S. forces redirected over 140 compliant vessels, disabled nine non‑compliant ships, and permitted more than 50 commercial vessels carrying humanitarian aid to pass through.
Mariners are advised to monitor Notice to Mariners broadcasts and to contact U.S. naval forces on bridge‑to‑bridge channel 16 when operating in the Gulf of Oman and the approaches to the Strait of Hormuz.
Commercial vessels will receive a formal notice with additional information regarding the blockade.
