The latest data on baby name trends has been released, revealing the most popular names in 2025. Olivia topped the list for girls, followed closely by Muhammad, Noah, and Leo for boys.
New additions to the top 100 names include Eliana, Gracie, Anaya, Alba, Marnie, Lilah, and Frankie for girls, as well as Vincent, Carter, Stanley, and Ruben for boys. Eliana saw the largest popularity increase for girls, rising 54 places, followed by Anaya and Alba, both up 24 places.
For boys, Vinnie rose the most, increasing by 33 places, followed by Ruben and Vincent, both up 26 and 25 places, respectively. In contrast, the girls' names that dropped off the top 100 were Jessica, Ellie, and Amelia, decreasing by 44, 31, and 22 places, respectively.
Other previously popular names also dipped sharply in the ranking, with Bodhi falling 18 places, Grayson by 14, and Brody by seven. The top 10 names accounted for 9.1% of all births in 2025, with 2,386 babies named Olivia and 5,957 boys named Muhammad, making up 1.4% of all birth names.
The rankings are based on the exact spelling of the name given at birth registration, with similar names with different spellings counted separately. The data provides valuable insights into the changing trends in baby names and the preferences of new parents.
