NNIC Confirms Ongoing Investigation into Saudia‑PAL Aircraft Incident

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported after a ground collision involving two aircraft at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Tuesday.

The incident occurred while a Saudia flight was taxiing for departure and struck a stationary Philippine Airlines aircraft. The Saudia aircraft’s wingtip made contact with the tail section of the parked plane.

All passengers on the departing Saudia flight were safely evacuated, and both aircraft are undergoing technical assessments for damage. Airport infrastructure and ground equipment were not affected.

A comprehensive investigation has been launched to determine the precise circumstances of the collision. The airport operator is cooperating fully with the airlines and aviation authorities to ensure an objective review.

Further information will be released through official channels as verified details become available.
