A 29-year-old man has died in a hospital after being run over by a pickup truck on Friday at the Veld Music Festival at Downsview Park.
Toronto police reported that the victim had succumbed to his injuries, and traffic services are investigating the incident as a private property fatal collision.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Friday in the Sheppard Ave. W.-Tuscan Gate area of North York, where the victim was lying on the grass in the parking lot before a pickup truck struck him.
He was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a 57-year-old driver of a 2024 black Dodge Ram remained at the scene.

Toronto police have charged two men accused of sexually assaulting two women last month at a house in the Annex.
The victims met the accused on July 2 at approximately 4 a.m. in the King St. W.-Portland St. area of the downtown core and were convinced to go to a house in the Annex area.
