Three people were killed and seven others injured in a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday afternoon.
According to city spokesperson Josh Palmer, the suspected gunman was found dead near the restaurant, but it is unclear whether the shooter was included in the reported death toll.
In-N-Out President Lynsi Snyder released a statement expressing her grief and shock over the tragedy, saying her "heart is broken" and that the company will mourn alongside the victims' families.
The shooting occurred at approximately 2 p.m. in a busy shopping plaza where hundreds of people were in the area, and it is believed the threat to the community has been neutralized.
Multiple victims were taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center, where they are being treated for their injuries.
The restaurant, which is part of In-N-Out's expansion into Idaho, first opened on July 24, barely a week before the attack.
Snyder said the company will support the employees and customers who experienced the violence, and urged the In-N-Out community to "turn to God, not in anger, but seeking comfort and strength for those who are hurting."
The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting local authorities with the investigation into the shooting.
Twin Falls, a city of roughly 56,000 residents, is about 130 miles southeast of Boise.
