Manchester United are reportedly exploring a loan move for forward Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus this summer. The Dutch striker was signed for £36.5 million in 2024, but has yet to meet expectations at Old Trafford.
During his time with the club, Zirkzee has managed only nine goals and four assists across 75 appearances. The lack of output has prompted the club to consider alternatives for the forward.
Despite support from coaching staff, the player appeared in just one of United’s final ten matches last season, limiting his opportunities to rediscover form.
Juventus have expressed a clear interest in acquiring Zirkzee on loan, with a purchase option slated for the end of the next season. The club’s leadership has indicated enthusiasm for adding the 25‑year‑old to their squad.
Zirkzee’s representatives have welcomed the proposal, signalling a willingness to return to Serie A for a second spell. The arrangement would keep the striker’s contract in place until June 2029.
During the pre‑season, Zirkzee recorded a goal and an assist in a 5‑0 win over Rosenborg, though he received limited minutes in subsequent fixtures.
United’s upcoming schedule includes a match against Paris Saint‑Germain, a clash with Leeds United, and a game against AC Milan before the league season opens against Hull City.
