A 38‑year‑old man was arrested in Los Angeles County for photographing and filming a private golf course owned by Donald Trump. The arrest came just days before the former president was scheduled to host a fundraising event on the property.
Deputies seized a loaded magazine and a pistol from the suspect’s vehicle, and a search of his home in Downey uncovered a .45‑caliber handgun, body armor, an illegally modified AR‑type pistol, and additional weapons.
Law enforcement also found notebooks containing statements that raised concerns about the individual’s intentions toward the former president.

Patrick Grandy, a federal agent, noted that the suspect’s behavior at the golf course “raised serious red flags” and that no margin for error is acceptable in light of past attempts on the former president’s life.
The former president, who has faced numerous death threats, entered Los Angeles earlier this week and is expected to visit the golf course later in the day.
The arrest follows a broader pattern of threats, including an earlier incident where a man fired a shotgun and handgun at a White House Correspondents’ Dinner. That attacker had a manifesto outlining a plan to target high‑ranking officials.
