California Man Charged in Vote Fraud Scheme After Ballot Theft

Inspectors have made a significant breakthrough in a recent case involving tampering with mail at the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center in Phoenix. On July 21, a suspect was caught red-handed as they attempted to remove a trap containing outgoing mail from a mailbox.

A spokesperson for the county recorder's office revealed that postal inspectors had notified them of the incident and handed over unvoted yellow carrier envelopes that had been seized as evidence. The envelopes were not voted ballots, but rather outbound ballot packets that were intended for voters.

The recorder's office has taken swift action to rectify the situation, documenting receipt of the envelopes from the postal inspectors and ensuring that the affected voters were promptly reissued outbound ballot packets. This move aims to prevent any further disruptions to the voting process.
