Prince Harry and Family Meet King Charles After Four-Year Gap

Prince Harry and Family Meet King Charles After Four-Year Gap

Prince Harry and his family visited King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, marking the first meeting between the monarch and his younger son in nearly four years.

The gathering included Harry, Meghan, their son Archie, and daughter Lilibet, who met the royal couple at the family residence west of London. It was the first time the monarchs had seen the Sussexes and their children since September 2022.

The reunion followed a week of controversy for Harry after he was denied taxpayer‑funded police protection. He had been in the United Kingdom for a charity event and arrived on Monday.

Harry had appealed the decision to remove his security protection, but a court ruling in May 2025 ended the request. He said his father had ceased speaking to him because of the dispute.

Before the visit, Harry participated in an event connected to the Invictus Games, a sporting competition for injured veterans that he founded.

Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the United States, Harry and Meghan have financed private security for themselves and their children.

The children have not seen the monarchs since June 2022, when the family attended the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Their last meeting was in September 2022 for the Queen’s funeral.

The meeting was described as a private family gathering, with no photographs or details released to the public.
