The U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has made some significant claims about Cuba's involvement in protests and espionage in the United States.
Rubio stated that Cuba is part of a network that supports and helps with seemingly never-ending protests of the far left. He also pointed to historic examples of espionage connected to Cuba and suggested that this is still a problem.
The Secretary of State warned that a spy network run by Cuba's communist Castro regime is undermining American interests. He emphasized that the Cuban regime, which is 90 miles away from America's shores, is a "failed state" and a national security threat to the U.S.
Rubio's comments came after the U.S. State Department published a comprehensive report on Cuba, detailing the actions committed by the Castro regime against the United States throughout its nearly 70 years in power.
The report highlighted how the Castro regime established an espionage network with elements actively working inside the United States to undermine American national security. Sec. Rubio touched upon the subject of the Castro regime's espionage network.
Rubio pointed out that the mass protesters seen at Anti-ICE rallies, pro-Hamas marches, and the 2020 riots are the same organized groups. He stated that there's nothing organic about it, and it is funded and organized by external forces.
The Secretary of State also claimed that Cuba has been meddling in the internal affairs of the United States. He noted that every month, a different country is meddling in the US's internal affairs.
Rubio emphasized that to the average American, Cuba is a small country 90 miles off their shores, but its influence is felt deeply in the United States.
