Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed a third child, a baby girl, on Monday, 3 August 2026.
The newborn arrived at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal, at 6:20 p.m., weighing six pounds nine ounces.
A statement released by the Royal Family confirmed the safe delivery and expressed delight at the news.
The infant is 15th in the line of succession to the British throne, following her mother, who is 12th, and her older brothers, August, age five, and Ernest, age three.
Eugenie, 36, and Brooksbank, 40, divide their time between residences in London and Portugal.
The couple has not yet disclosed the baby’s name, indicating that a decision will be made in due course.
The addition of the new daughter moves Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the youngest brother of King Charles further down the succession list.
Earlier in May, Eugenie announced her pregnancy, sharing an ultrasound image that indicated a due date in 2026.
Despite the loss of royal titles by her parents in October 2025 following controversies, Eugenie retained her title and continues to fulfill royal duties.
