On Sunday evening, a man in his 50s was discovered in distress off Calshot, New Forest following a collision. He was brought to shore and collapsed shortly thereafter.
Emergency services, including police, responded at 6:08 pm and transported the man to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
The patient died on Monday, the day after the incident.
Police confirmed that the victim’s next of kin have been informed and a coroner’s file will be prepared.
