A dramatic and unexpected home birth was captured on a Ring doorbell camera in Douglasville, Georgia. Christina, a mum-of-three, gave birth to her baby girl, Scotti Ann Mahone, in just nine minutes from the time her water broke.
The rapid birth took place in Christina's driveway, with her husband and paramedics arriving quickly on the scene. Christina described the experience as "crazy" and "an out-of-body experience," adding that she didn't even make it to the hospital.
According to Christina, her contractions were not intense or too close together before her waters broke. She and her family had been preparing for a hospital birth, but the baby had other plans. As Christina's water broke, she knew the baby was on the way.
Christina's husband played a crucial role in the birth, catching the baby and communicating with 911 dispatch. He remained calm and helped deliver the baby, who weighed nine pounds and measured 20 inches long.
Mother and baby were taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital after the birth, where they received a clean bill of health. Christina praised her husband for his calm and supportive presence during the unexpected birth.
