Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr Denies Arsenal Transfer Rumors

Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr Denies Arsenal Transfer Rumors

Vinicius Junior is reportedly attracted to the possibility of joining Arsenal if he fails to agree a new contract with his current club, Real Madrid.

The Brazil international has less than a year remaining on his contract and could potentially leave Madrid on a free transfer next summer, making him an attractive target for the Premier League champions.

Arsenal are exploring the possibility of signing Vinicius Jr before the end of the summer transfer window, but have yet to submit an official offer to Madrid.

The report suggests that a potential switch to the Premier League could appeal to the 26-year-old, with Arsenal expected to find an agreement on personal terms if he decides to make the move.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is said to be a fan of Vinicius Jr, with a source close to the manager stating that Arteta 'loves' him and that the club will be there for him if he doesn't renew his contract.

Real Madrid, however, are understood to have issued an ultimatum to Vinicius Jr during talks over a new deal, with the club refusing to include a renewal bonus as part of the Brazilian's package.

The Spanish club have informed Vinicius Jr that their latest proposal is final, but have also told him that if he does not renew his contract, they will sell him before the end of the transfer window.

Madrid are unwilling to alter their salary structure, despite Vinicius Jr's importance to the team, but do not want to see the winger leave as a free agent next year, which opens the door to a potential sale to Arsenal this summer.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has said that he would not stand in Vinicius Jr's way if he wants to leave, but hopes that the winger will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Perez stated that Vinicius Jr is a 'star' and that he will be delighted to have him at the club, but also acknowledged that he will be free to leave if he chooses to do so.
