A 62-year-old school bus aide in Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with multiple crimes after allegedly inappropriately touching a 14-year-old girl with special needs on a school bus.
The incident is alleged to have occurred on two consecutive days, Wednesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 30, while the girl was riding a bus to the Bensalem High School's extended school year program.
According to investigators, surveillance footage from inside the bus shows the aide, Ali Khan, directing the girl to a specific seat before allegedly touching her inappropriately while securing her seatbelt and after she was seated.
The footage also appears to show Khan engaging in sexual conduct and using a cellphone to photograph or record the girl, police said.
Khan was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, indecent assault, and related offenses, and was being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post 10% of his $500,000 bail.
The girl's parents contacted police on Thursday, July 30, to report the alleged incident, and an investigation was launched.
The Bensalem Township School District took immediate action, removing the employee from service and pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigations.
The district's top priority is the safety and well-being of its students, and it will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement and conduct its own administrative review.
Khan's preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 11, 2026, and the incident remains under investigation.
