A Florida man has been charged with multiple counts of domestic violence after allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend on several occasions. Daniel Niemiec, 20, faces charges of domestic violence strangulation and battery in connection to a series of incidents at his Coral Springs apartment that began in June.
According to court documents, Niemiec's ex-girlfriend told police that she had consensual sex with him on June 2, but during the encounter, he repeatedly slapped her face despite her pleas to stop. The woman claimed that Niemiec's behavior was aggressive and violent.
The ex-girlfriend also alleged that on June 30, Niemiec strangled her during an argument, leaving her struggling to breathe. She claimed that he laughed at her during the attack, adding to her distress.
After the incidents, the woman broke up with Niemiec and went to stay with a friend. When she returned to his apartment to retrieve her belongings, Niemiec confronted her, holding her backpack. He had urinated and defecated in the bag, mixing it with ketchup, hot sauce, and other unknown fluids.
Niemiec then allegedly dumped the contents of the backpack onto the woman. When recounting the incident to police, the woman was visibly shaken, reportedly trembling uncontrollably.
Upon being arrested, Niemiec admitted to authorities that he had slapped his ex-girlfriend during sex as a form of experimentation, but things had "gotten out of hand." He also confessed to strangling her, citing his "anger issues" and inability to control his temper.
Niemiec further confessed to filling the backpack with human excrement and other substances as "payback for her cheating." He claimed that he had intended to simply throw the backpack, but couldn't recall where the contents landed.
Niemiec posted a $4,000 bond and is subject to electronic monitoring and a no-contact order with his ex-girlfriend. His current legal status and representation are unclear.
