Prince Harry has arrived in the U.K. to mark the one-year countdown to his Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham.
The event marks the entire family's first visit to England in four years, following the Duke of Sussex's numerous trips to the U.K. for charity work and court cases since he and his wife stepped back from royal duties in 2020.
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their children, Archie and Lilibet, have joined Harry in the Britain, but neither the former actress nor the kids will be attending any events due to security concerns and a change of heart.
The Sussexes' previous visit to the U.K. raised security concerns after police denied them publicly funded protection during the visit, leading to a solo trip for Harry earlier in the week.
During his public engagements, Harry has made references to his family, including telling a 12-year-old patient at Birmingham Children's Hospital that Archie is "obsessed with Lego" and calling him a "master builder."
He also made a surprise appearance on a television show, where he said his family is proud of the work he does for wounded veterans through the Invictus Games, adding, "I love my family."
Following the Buckingham Palace debacle, the Duke and his family have been staying in private accommodation, according to reports.
With all four Sussex family members in the U.K., it has raised the prospect of them meeting with King Charles in a private reunion, if it goes ahead.
The show has gone on, with Harry's schedule packed with charitable work and promoting the Invictus Games, despite his legal defeat in his privacy case and a sour start to his return.
Prince Harry had previously expressed his reluctance to bring his family back to the U.K. due to security concerns, saying he couldn't "see a world in which I would be bringing my wife and children back to the U.K. at this point."
The upcoming Invictus Games may have been too hard to resist, especially given how the games have played a role in the couple's relationship, with Harry and Meghan making their debut as a couple at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto.
The event marked their first joint public appearance, and Harry has spoken fondly of sharing those moments with Meghan, calling it "a lot to take in" but "fortunate" to have been with the perfect community.
