Common Ground, a coworking operator based in Malaysia, has announced the opening of a new workspace in Taguig City, targeting startup firms amid the growing demand for flexible office solutions in the Philippines.
The company’s country manager noted that many startups have considered Bonifacio Global City but found the area too costly, prompting the launch of a more affordable alternative in Taguig.
The new location, named Common Ground Digital Park McKinley Hill, is a pilot partnership with a local real‑estate investment trust and aims to provide a structured environment for startups to network and collaborate.
Spanning 1,800 square meters, the facility offers 430 seats, including more than 300 private office spaces, 50 hot desks, and 19 fixed desks.
Hot desks are priced at 5,000 Philippine pesos per month and include an hour of meeting‑room access, a 200‑peso printing credit, and weekday hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fixed desks cost 12,000 pesos monthly, granting 24‑hour access, a business address, mail handling, and a 350‑peso printing credit, in addition to a single hour of meeting‑room use.
Private offices are available for 16,000 pesos per month, offering a locked space, 24‑hour access, a business address, mail handling, a 500‑peso printing credit, and an hour of meeting‑room use per seat.
The venue also features call booths, a pantry, event spaces, high‑speed internet, complimentary beverages, daily cleaning, and business‑class printers, copiers, and scanners, with a café slated to open next month as an added amenity.
Members gain access to more than 50 Flexi Group locations across the Asia‑Pacific region, including Hive and The Cluster.
The operator plans to host weekly community events designed to connect startups with growth opportunities, tailoring programs to help the local ecosystem thrive and providing a gateway for firms from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and other APAC markets to expand into the Philippines.
Although the official launch is set for August 11, about seven percent of the Digital Park’s seats have already been occupied, primarily by technology startups.
Future plans include additional Digital Parks in other Megaworld townships such as Eastwood City, Iloilo Business Park, Southwoods City, and Capital Town, expanding the network across the country.
