Gladiator replaced by TV star

Gladiator replaced by TV star

A celebrity special of Gladiators is set to feature a surprise contestant after a last-minute injury forced a change in plans. Comedian Chris Ramsey was scheduled to participate, but he sustained a leg injury during filming at the Sheffield Arena, which made it difficult for him to complete a challenge that required running long distances.

The injury led to the introduction of Harry Clark, the winner of a recent reality TV show, who was brought in as a replacement. Clark, a former British army engineer, reportedly impressed the audience with his performance, earning a huge round of applause for his appearance. He had previously won a significant amount of money on the reality TV show by keeping his true intentions hidden from his fellow contestants.

Clark's addition to the show means that this edition of Celebrity Gladiators will feature five celebrities instead of the usual four. The other participants include Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu, comedians Ramsey and Sara Pascoe, and social media personality George Clarke. Despite his injury, Ramsey still managed to compete in some challenges that did not exacerbate his condition.

Ramsey had earlier expressed his excitement about participating in Gladiators, a show he used to watch as a kid. However, he also hinted at the challenges of competing at an older age, saying that he wished he could have taken part in the show when he was younger. The exact circumstances of Clark's introduction to the show are not clear, but his performance is expected to add an interesting twist to the celebrity special.

The audience at the Sheffield Arena seemed to enjoy the unexpected turn of events, with some even chuckling at Clark's humorous explanation for a minor injury he had sustained. The show's producers likely appreciated the unexpected twist, which added a new layer of excitement to the competition. The outcome of the celebrity special is still unknown, but it promises to be an entertaining edition of Gladiators.
