Republican Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno spoke to reporters on Tuesday after his ex-son-in-law, Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), accidentally released a nude photo of Moreno's granddaughter over the weekend amid allegations that Miller assaulted his ex-wife.
Miller is accused of assaulting his ex-wife, Emily Moreno, the daughter of Senator Bernie Moreno, and their two-year-old daughter. Miller allegedly held a gun to Emily Moreno's head and broke their daughter's collarbone.
Senator Moreno called for Miller to resign from Congress, saying he's put the family through "pure hell." He expressed concerns for his granddaughter's safety, stating, "He is a danger to my daughter, and I hold my breath every minute he has custody of my granddaughter."
Senator Moreno also emphasized that Miller fails to meet the basic standards of character required to hold elected office. He urged Miller to seek professional help to address the pattern of abuse he has allegedly exhibited.
