US Embassies Advise Citizens to Depart Middle East Amid Conflict

U.S. embassies across the Middle East have issued warnings about a potential “unforeseen escalation” in the conflict involving Iran, urging American citizens in the region to consider leaving or to be prepared to depart if tensions rise further.

The alert from the embassy in the United Arab Emirates notes that heightened tensions create a complex security environment. It advises U.S. residents to exercise caution, maintain vigilance, and prepare for possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other travel disruptions.

Similar notices were posted by U.S. diplomatic missions in Jordan, Jerusalem, and Baghdad, all cautioning against travel through the area and warning that Iranian forces or their supporters could target U.S. interests worldwide.

President Trump has publicly stated that he is weighing a “massive” attack on Iran, describing it as “bigger than ever before.” He added that U.S. forces have continued nightly strikes against Iranian targets for nearly two weeks, suggesting the adversary has not yet suffered sufficient impact.

The United States resumed strikes on Iranian energy sites after the country fired missiles that were intercepted. These attacks followed a period of nightly bombardments earlier in the month, which were paused last week to allow negotiations to proceed.

New strikes are expected to commence as soon as the weekend, marking the largest bombing campaign to date against Iranian infrastructure.

The situation remains fluid, and U.S. authorities recommend that citizens monitor updates and follow guidance from their local embassies to ensure personal safety.
