The Philippines and Ukraine are advancing discussions on a proposed drone co‑production agreement first raised in 2025. Both sides are working on the framework, with no updates released yet. The agreement remains a work in progress.
The proposal was highlighted during a July 24 meeting between Ukraine’s Deputy Head of the President and the Philippine Defense Undersecretary. The meeting was part of broader efforts to deepen defense cooperation between the two nations.
Ukraine intends to incorporate the arrangement into its 10‑year drone deal program, which seeks to strengthen defense‑industrial collaboration and exchange battlefield experience.
The country already has similar agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
