Surveillance footage has surfaced showing a 74-year-old man being violently assaulted by six individuals outside a convenience store in Baltimore.
The attack occurred at 3:24 a.m. on July 7 in front of a 7-Eleven on Liberty Heights Avenue, across from Mondawmin Mall.
Video shows the victim standing near the store entrance when two suspects approached him with a firearm.
Four additional individuals joined the group, shoving the man and throwing objects at him before knocking him to the ground.
The assailants struck the victim in the head and kicked him repeatedly while he was on the pavement.
After several minutes, the suspects fled the scene, leaving the man struggling to stand.
Police released the footage but have not made any arrests in connection with the incident.
Local residents expressed outrage over the attack, describing the violence as senseless and cowardly.
One neighbor questioned why the young suspects were not at home in the early morning hours instead of targeting an elderly member of the community.
The victim was treated at a hospital for bruises and a hand injury of unspecified severity.
