Stephen Grzyb, 22, was scheduled to appear before Liverpool magistrates’ court on charges of domestic‑related burglary. During the morning, he escaped after being transported from a police custody suite.
Grzyb fled on foot around 10 a.m., heading toward The Strand. The escape occurred following his transfer by a prisoner transport contractor.
Police are conducting extensive enquiries, deploying patrols across the city centre and reviewing CCTV footage to locate the suspect.
