Father, Daughter Die After Daughter Walks into the Sea with Handbag

A major emergency operation was launched at Fistral Beach in Newquay after two people were pulled from the water.

Fistral Beach is known for being one of the most popular surfing destinations in the UK, attracting thousands of visitors during the summer months.

According to eyewitnesses, police dragged two people out of the water by the rocks at Fistral Beach.

The eyewitness described the scene, stating that they saw police and paramedics working tirelessly to revive the individuals, with multiple emergency vehicles responding to the incident.

A search and rescue mission was launched at the scene, with a large crowd gathering and the road being cordoned off by police.

Despite the efforts of emergency crews, the individuals were unable to be saved, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.

Hours later, a search and rescue mission was launched at Loch Fyne after a 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead by paramedics on Sunday afternoon.

The alarm was raised at about 3.30pm, with the Coastguard and lifeboat crews involved in the rescue operation.

Searches continued before the body of a second diver, a 24-year-old woman, was recovered from the loch.

RHF4C2 The Arrochar Alps in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park reflected in Loch Fyne.

The deaths are being treated as unexplained, and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

Divers travel from all over the world to explore Loch Fyne, offering the opportunity to swim with seals, dolphins, and explore pristine reefs full of anemones.

Emergency services, including the Coastguard and lifeboat crews, responded to the incident, with a Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson expressing their condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
