North York stabbing kills woman

A woman was stabbed to death in a North York highrise on Saturday afternoon, and the killer is still at large. Toronto Police responded to a call about a person with a knife at the residential building near Don Mills Road and Fairview Mall Drive, just north of Sheppard Avenue East, around 2:30 p.m. Officers found a female victim inside the building who had been stabbed, and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.

The assailant fled the scene and remains outstanding. A heavy police presence was deployed to the building, including Emergency Task Force officers, following the murder.
