Top Business-Class Awards I’ll Book for 2024 Travel

Business travel has rebounded strongly after the pandemic, prompting airlines worldwide to invest heavily in upgraded premium cabins.

United Airlines unveiled its Polaris Elevated business‑class suite on a limited number of Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliners, featuring silvery upholstery, wood‑grain accents, closing privacy doors and 19‑inch 4K entertainment screens. The cabins are currently deployed on routes between San Francisco and Singapore as well as San Francisco and London Heathrow.

Air India introduced a new suite‑style business class on its Airbus A350‑900 fleet, offering an ultra‑private 1‑2‑1 configuration with closing doors and premium finishes. The aircraft operate from New Delhi to New York‑JFK, Newark and London Heathrow.

Swiss launched the Swiss Senses business‑class product on its Airbus A350s, providing 45 seats in a variety of layouts ranging from window‑facing seats to larger “suite” sections. The cabins serve routes from Zurich to Boston and Seoul, with additional amenities such as 18‑ to 24‑inch entertainment screens and tablet‑controlled seat functions.

Etihad Airways delivered a new business‑class cabin for its Airbus A321LR and A321XLR aircraft, featuring a 1‑1 configuration with marble accents, wireless charging, and 17.3‑inch 4K entertainment screens. The cabins operate from Abu Dhabi to destinations including Amsterdam, Bangkok, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Kolkata, Paris, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Tunis and Zurich.

Air New Zealand refreshed its Business Premier product on Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliners, employing a herringbone 1‑2‑1 layout with 20.5‑inch seat width and 79‑inch lie‑flat beds, while the Premier Luxe tier adds sliding privacy doors for additional space. These cabins are deployed on routes from Auckland to San Francisco and Vancouver, and the airline plans to introduce a new closing‑door business‑class seat on its 777‑300ER fleet in 2027.

Starlux introduced a futuristic business‑class cabin on its Airbus A350s, offering closing privacy doors, 24‑inch entertainment screens and 77‑inch lie‑flat beds. The product is used on flights from Taipei to Los Angeles, Ontario, Phoenix, San Francisco and Seattle.

Qantas is developing a new business‑class suite for its “Project Sunrise” Airbus A350‑1000 aircraft, which will feature a front‑facing 1‑2‑1 layout, 80‑inch lie‑flat beds and 18‑inch entertainment screens for ultra‑long‑haul services between Sydney and London Heathrow or New York JFK.

Delta Air Lines announced plans to introduce an updated Delta One suite on its forthcoming Airbus A350‑1000 fleet, featuring a reverse‑herringbone arrangement, privacy doors and larger lie‑flat beds, though specific route deployment has not yet been disclosed.

Cathay Pacific has added the Aria Suite to selected Hong Kong routes, offering 24‑inch screens, wireless charging, and premium bedding and skincare amenities within a closed‑door cabin configuration.

The rapid rollout of these new business‑class products underscores intense competition among carriers to attract premium travelers with increasingly private and luxurious cabin experiences.
