United States Launches Airstrikes Against Iran Following Collapse of Ceasefire Agreement

The US military began conducting airstrikes against Iran on Wednesday, following a declaration from President Trump that a ceasefire is over.

President Trump announced the decision while meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, stating that the US would strike Iran again that night after a wave of strikes on Tuesday.

'We're going to hit them hard tonight,' Trump said, later adding, 'They deserve it.'

According to officials, the US is taking action to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The US military has started conducting additional strikes against Iran to degrade their ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States is holding Iran accountable for recent unjustified aggression against commercial shipping and civilian crews freely navigating a vital international waterway.

This action comes after the US launched attacks in Iran in response to Iran targeting several ships in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.

Earlier Tuesday, Tehran struck three ships, including a Qatari natural gas vessel.

The US military has reportedly hit more than 80 targets in the latest strikes.

President Trump earlier Tuesday revoked the Iran oil sanctions waiver after the Strait of Hormuz attacks.

The situation is ongoing and is being closely monitored.
