Kathryn Ruemmler has resigned from her position as Goldman Sachs’s top lawyer following the release of documents related to the Epstein case.
Ruemmler previously served as White House Counsel under former President Barack Obama before joining the financial institution.
The resignation comes after files detailing the late Jeffrey Epstein’s associations revealed what records describe as an extensive relationship between Ruemmler and the convicted sex offender.
The disclosure has prompted scrutiny of senior figures with prior connections to Epstein as further materials from the investigation continue to surface.
