The National Bureau of Investigation arrested 35 individuals, including 26 foreign nationals, in a raid on an alleged illegal gambling operation concealed as an amusement arcade in Makati City.
Agents from the bureau's Dangerous Drugs Division and Organized and Transnational Crime Division executed a court-issued search warrant at the Goraku Amusement Center inside The Gallery Building.
Investigators determined the establishment was running a large-scale illegal gambling business while presenting itself as a legitimate entertainment venue.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 26 foreign nationals and nine Filipino employees.
Authorities confiscated 103 alleged illegal slot machines, gambling paraphernalia, and payment ledgers during the raid.
All 35 suspects remain in custody and face complaints for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602, which penalizes illegal gambling activities.
