Arsenal kicked off their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Segunda Division side Girona in Spain on Saturday.
The Gunners took the lead early on, courtesy of a superb through ball from Max Dowman that allowed Kai Havertz to burst through on goal and thump the ball past goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
Summer signing Christos Tzolis made a bright impression on his debut appearance since joining from Club Brugge, doubling the Gunners' lead with a deflected effort that found its way into the bottom corner.

Girona, who were relegated from La Liga last season, started the second half strongly and pulled one goal back when captain Arnau Martinez headed home from a corner.
Arsenal responded quickly, with Dowman scoring his second goal of the game after coming in off the right and lashing home from the edge of the box to restore their two-goal lead.
Just two minutes later, Gabriel Jesus added a fourth goal for the Gunners, capitalising on a defensive error from Girona to poke the ball past Gazzaniga.
Arsenal are set to face Real Betis at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday in their next pre-season match.
