DoTr has opened bidding for a P563.32‑million engineering consultancy and inspection contract for the MRT‑7 project.
Interested parties may submit expressions of interest by August 7. The selection process will weigh technical proposals at 85% and financial offers at 15%.
The contract requires completion within 30 months. The project is on schedule, with operations of 12 stations slated for next year.
MRT‑7 will feature 14 stations and is projected to serve 300,000 passengers daily in its first year, increasing to 850,000 by year 12.
San Miguel Corporation, through SMC Mass Rail Transit 7, Inc., finances construction and will operate the 23‑kilometer line under a 25‑year concession.
The project also includes a 22‑kilometer road link connecting the Bocaue interchange of the North Luzon Expressway to an intermodal terminal in Tala, Caloocan City.
