A woman from New Jersey has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13, recording the alleged abuse, and sharing a video of the incident on social media. Victoria Anne Cranmer, 25, was taken into custody on Tuesday and faces multiple charges, including second-degree sexual assault and manufacturing of child sexual abuse material.
According to court documents, the alleged assault occurred on May 6 inside the bathroom of a home in Little Egg Harbor, while the child was in Cranmer's care. The incident was recorded on a 14-second video, which investigators say was shared on Snapchat.
Authorities identified Cranmer through distinctive tattoos visible in the recording, including one on her leg. An investigation was launched on May 20 after the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency referred the allegations to local law enforcement.
Detectives obtained search warrants for Cranmer's cellphone and Snapchat account, where they uncovered additional videos saved in the platform's Memories feature. The cellphone had been purchased for Cranmer by a former roommate, who discovered the recording while reviewing the device's contents.
The alleged recordings show Cranmer laughing while assaulting the child. At least one of the videos was shared on Snapchat. Cranmer is being held without bail at the Ocean County Jail.
