Apple has launched its annual back-to-school promotion, offering gift cards to eligible education customers who purchase qualifying devices.
Students, faculty, staff, and other qualifying buyers can receive up to a $150 gift card with a MacBook Pro, or $100 with a MacBook Air, iPad Air, or iPad Pro.
The timing is notable following recent price increases of $100 or more on many Apple devices, making the offer a meaningful offset for buyers.
The promotion excludes the latest MacBook Neo, the iPad mini, the 11th-generation iPad, and all desktop Macs. The offer runs through August 27, 2026.
Eligible products include the MacBook Air 13-inch at $1,199, the MacBook Air 15-inch at $1,399, the MacBook Pro 14-inch at $1,899, and the MacBook Pro 16-inch at $2,799.
Qualifying iPads include the iPad Air 11-inch at $699, iPad Air 13-inch at $899, iPad Pro 11-inch at $1,099, and iPad Pro 13-inch at $1,399.
Purchases must be made directly from Apple to receive the gift card. Existing education discounts stack with the promotion, potentially lowering costs further.
Gift card credit must be used on Apple products, accessories, apps, or subscription services such as Apple Music and iCloud+ storage.
Eligibility extends to current or incoming higher-education students, faculty and staff at higher-education institutions, parents buying for eligible students, and K-12 employees.
Verification for the offer is completed through UNiDAYS, the same system used for education pricing.
