New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill Criticizes Trump, Compares Him to

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill is facing intense scrutiny after a major voter roll irregularity was discovered in the state.

A staggering number of non-citizens were improperly registered to vote, with thousands of individuals identified as non-citizens being placed on voter rolls between June 2023 and June 2024.

Rather than taking responsibility for the catastrophic failure within her state's government, Sherrill shifted the blame to President Donald Trump and even brought up Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During a press conference on new legislation, Sherrill told reporters that an independent investigation was underway to determine how the irregularities occurred, but quickly pivoted to attacking the Trump administration for demanding answers.

According to Sherrill, investigating the non-citizens who were registered to vote is "weaponization" by the federal government.

Sherrill made the outrageous claim that President Trump has done more to undermine American elections than Vladimir Putin, despite the fact that thousands of non-citizens were registered to vote in New Jersey.

The governor's claims have been met with skepticism, with White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stating that the actual number of non-citizens on the voter rolls may be substantially higher than the reported 6,600.

President Trump has cited the New Jersey scandal in his call for the SAVE America Act, which would require documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections.

Instead of welcoming federal assistance, releasing the records, and holding the responsible officials accountable, Sherrill is attacking Trump and deflecting blame onto Putin.

This move has been seen as a classic example of the Democrat playbook, where blame is shifted away from government failures and onto external targets.

The Department of Justice has requested the names and information of the non-citizens involved, and an investigation is underway to determine the scope of the irregularity.

As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether Sherrill and the New Jersey government will take responsibility for the failure and work to rectify the situation.
