Paul Pelosi Faces Misdemeanor Hit-and-Run Charges in Napa County

Paul Pelosi, 86, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been charged with a misdemeanor hit-and-run following a car crash in Napa County, California.

The incident occurred on July 3 on Yountville Cross Road. Authorities have stated that no driving under the influence is suspected in this case.

Court documents allege that Paul Pelosi damaged a parked Tesla and left the scene without reporting the collision.

When questioned about the case, Nancy Pelosi declined to comment, and a staff member intervened to end the exchange with the reporter.

This marks the second traffic-related incident involving Paul Pelosi in recent years. In May 2022, he received three years of probation after crashing into a Jeep while impaired.

During that 2022 arrest, officers documented that he had slurred speech, red and watery eyes, unsteady footing, and a strong odor of alcohol. A substance was also detected in his system.

Investigators reported that Pelosi failed to stop at a sign before pulling onto State Route 29, where he was struck by a northbound Jeep driven by Jesus V. Lopez. The Jeep sustained major collision damage.
