Violent Incident Caught on Camera: Man in Wheelchair Targeted in Apparent Hate Crime Outside Oklahoma City Police Headquarters

A disturbing incident occurred outside the Oklahoma City Police Department headquarters last week, leaving a man in a wheelchair with minor injuries. The attack was captured on video and released by the Oklahoma City Police Department, showing a suspect throwing a Molotov cocktail at the victim.

The footage shows the suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Alexander James Emery, running up to the man in the wheelchair and throwing the Molotov cocktail at him. As the victim tries to escape, Emery pushes his chair back into the blaze before throwing his hands up and dropping to the ground as police approach with guns drawn.

Bystanders rushed to aid the victim as police arrested Emery. The suspect had a second Molotov cocktail when he was detained, and officers reported a strong odor of gasoline emanating from him. Emery reportedly told the victim, "Don't talk to me," before throwing the Molotov cocktail.

A person in a wheelchair is seen in a street while another individual runs past, with flames visible on the ground nearby.

During the incident, Emery also reportedly uttered a phrase associated with Nazi ideology. He is currently facing multiple felony charges, including arson and assault with intent to kill. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover from his minor injuries.
