The preliminary hearing in the Charlie Kirk assassination case entered its fourth day in Utah, with Judge Tony Graff approving the release of a crucial interview between prosecutor Ryan McBride and Lance Twiggs, Tyler Robinson's trans lover.
According to Twiggs, Robinson spent the night of September 9 in their apartment, leaving very early the next morning. Robinson messaged Twiggs at 11 pm on September 10, several hours after the murder, and was reportedly acting erratically and pacing back and forth in the apartment.
Twiggs revealed in the interview that Robinson confessed to the crime, stating that he wished he hadn't done it and was trying to keep himself busy or distracted. Robinson also expressed a desire to turn himself in or talk to his parents.
The court displayed the chilling text messages between Twiggs and Robinson, revealing a disturbing exchange in the aftermath of the crime. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty, and Robinson is charged with multiple counts, including aggravated murder, felony reckless discharge of a firearm, and witness tampering.
The case continues to unfold, with the prosecution presenting key evidence in their bid to secure a conviction. The full Lance Twiggs interview was made available to the court, providing a detailed account of Robinson's actions and motivations leading up to the crime.
