The allegations against Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner continue to unfold, with a new interview shedding light on the explosive sexual assault claims against him.
Jenny Racicot, who previously dated Platner, shared her account of the alleged assault, stating that Platner entered her home without permission at the end of 2021, heavily intoxicated, and raped her.
Racicot expressed frustration with Platner's recent comments about drunk women, saying, "Here's a man who was drunk, and who, by dictionary definition, raped me, and he's blaming drunk women. So I just felt like that was a very odd take to have on that."
She also questioned Platner's consistency on women's issues, citing his past comments about threatening people with rape and his strong opinions on women coming forward with allegations.
Following the latest allegations, Democrat Senator Ruben Gallego and Democrat Rep Ro Khanna both withdrew their endorsements of Platner, and the Maine Democrat Party urged him to drop out of the Senate race.
Platner denied the allegations, stating that they are "troubling, serious, and false," and any accusation of non-consensual behavior is "categorically untrue."
