The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) stocks experienced a mixed performance on Monday, July 27, 2026. The PSEi declined by 0.34% or 46.17 points, closing at 13,571.19.
Among the sectoral indices, the holding firms index recorded the largest decline of 1.15%, followed by the property index at 0.73%. On the other hand, the financial index rose by 0.53%.
The decline in the PSEi was attributed to the sell-off in several blue-chip stocks, including conglomerates and banking companies. However, the gains in the financial sector helped to offset some of the losses.
The peso also experienced some volatility, closing at 48.35 against the US dollar, a decline of 0.07% from its previous close.
