Iran launched airstrikes against U.S. military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait on Wednesday, following the collapse of a ceasefire agreement the night before.
The U.S. had already carried out retaliatory attacks in Iran after Iranian forces targeted several commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.
U.S. Central Command released footage of the strikes, indicating that more than 80 targets were engaged during the operation.
The escalation marks a sharp increase in hostilities in the region, heightening concerns about further military confrontations.
