Novig launches nationwide sports prediction market after securing

Novig has secured a federal designation as a Designated Contract Market from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, granting the company a nationwide operating license for sports prediction markets.

The approval shifts Novig from the fragmented state-by-state licensing framework used by traditional sportsbooks to a single federal regulatory structure, positioning it alongside established operators such as DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM.

Users can now trade instantly with live markets, access additional payment methods, and benefit from increased liquidity that is expected to improve pricing and speed, even during live games.

Novig sports prediction market now available nationwide following CFTC approval, with sports trading markets shown across the United States.

The company has expanded its compliance program, added market surveillance tools, and instituted safeguards against manipulation and insider activity, while maintaining a 21‑year‑old minimum age requirement for participants.

Novig emphasizes trust, transparency and responsible participation, claiming it has built a platform that reflects how sports fans think, engage and trade, and that it does not impose punitive limits on successful traders.

Since its launch, cumulative trading volume on the platform has surpassed $6 billion, and the nationwide reach is projected to attract more users, further enhancing liquidity and trading activity.

Unlike conventional sportsbooks that set odds and take the other side of bets, Novig’s exchange model lets users trade directly against one another, with prices driven by supply and demand.

The CFTC designation places the business within the futures and derivatives regulatory system, contributing to the ongoing debate over whether sports event contracts should be classified as financial products or traditional gambling.

With its nationwide launch, Novig positions itself as a significant new player in the evolving sports betting landscape, offering a distinct exchange-based trading experience to fans across the United States.
