Turkish Side Makes Move to Sign 22-Year-Old Premier League Striker

Sunderland are reportedly looking to part ways with striker Ahmed Abdullahi, who has been plagued by injuries during his two-year stint on Wearside.

The Black Cats have undergone a significant squad overhaul in recent times, and with the team now established in the Premier League, it's time for them to add more quality to their roster. However, they also need to move on several players who failed to make an impact, including Abdullahi.

Abdullahi signed with Sunderland from Belgian side Gent in August 2024, but a string of injuries has prevented him from making any meaningful contributions to the team. He currently finds himself behind Brian Brobbey and Wilson Isidor in the pecking order, and even youngster Trey Ogunsuyi seems to be ahead of him.

The fact that Abdullahi has been playing for the under-21s in recent friendlies is a clear indication of where he stands in the team's hierarchy. With a fresh start seemingly on the horizon, it's likely that Abdullahi will be looking to move on from Wearside.

Talks are reportedly ongoing between Sunderland and Turkish side Eyupspor regarding a potential move for Abdullahi. While the details of the deal remain unclear, it's believed that a move to Turkey could provide Abdullahi with the fresh start he needs to revive his career.
