Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is urging the U.S. and Europe to provide more missiles to help Ukraine defend against Russian attacks.
According to a recent post on X, last night Kyiv came under a massive Russian attack, with Russia launching 68 missiles and 351 attack drones.
Zelenskyy is calling for the U.S. and European allies to emerge from the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, with strong decisions in support of Ukraine's air defense.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that his country's warriors performed well in intercepting drones and cruise missiles, but were unable to stop Russian ballistic missiles due to an insufficient supply of interceptor missiles.
Zelenskyy believes that if the U.S. and Europe provide Ukraine with the necessary air defense systems, it would be possible to stop Russian aggression and protect the lives of ordinary people.
The comments from Zelenskyy come as the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate, with the two nations engaged in a years-long war.
This week, Zelenskyy will be joined by other world leaders, including the new South Korean President, European Council President Antonio Costa, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, for dinner with NATO leaders.
